Neither has ever suffered medical problems or has any behavior problems – yet. In fact, Boo is the baddest ass cat in the house! She rules and regularly goes up against the boys, including Bob who has extra toes on his front paws, and never misses an opportunity to slap the big-o dog in her face. Both are so sweet. I cringe to think I had their feet butchered because of my ignorance and selfishness in wanting to protect my ’stuff’ when all that was really needed was nail clippers! ?
From someone who personally knows this subject – I have 2 cats in my 6 pack who are declawed. I had it done to them. Regrets? Few. They were my first cats, the oldest – KinKy, is over 16 years old. Baby Boo, will be 9 in September. I didn’t know then what I know now, AND 2 different vet’s performed the procedure without mentioning pros or cons either, yet I believed I made an informed choice at the time. That was then, this is now.

My feline friend doesn’t play with my laptop. She gets mad when I’m on it, and instead pushes the power button. ;D
Omigosh, that is too adorable! A great idea for a cat toy, & much less labor-intensive than a laser pointer. Wonder if our adult cats would take to a screen saver as a toy?

You are right … declawing is sadistic. Cats are very careful about how they use their claws. They make sure what they are going to claw into with the soft pads of their feet first. I have never had a laptop screen scratched while playing video catnip. Cat fur in the keyboard is another matter, but it can be blown out.

The comment was really about “I hope your screen doesn’t get scratched from the claws” But if you want my views: I think it’s better for a cat to have it’s claws in the essence they use them for defense, but cat should be declawed under certain measures. It has Ups and Downs to it…..
Declawing is not something to take lightly. There’s a reason why several countries have banned the practice. You should probably learn a few things about declawing and what it does to cats before you talk about it that lightly again. =(
Yeah I have a Windows PC also, but thats for games only, lol. If there was an alternative to the automotive programs I use id ditch the vista, but there are none. All the automotive programs ive ever seen are windows only.
out of curiosity you do know that declawing is highly dangerous and also is like for you having your finger tips cut off right?, just google about it if you dont know. just saying thats all
i did have xp in a vm at first for a few apps i missed but then i found alternitives which were bettter and now its windows free, hell i like what i use on osx so much i even bought a powermac G5 and you cant run windows apps on that without wine or crossover or something i cant remember, but the point is it would be slow and pointless on a PPC lol
Only reason I put vista on my macbook was for automotive programs, other then that its OSX all the way!
