My cat Gideon does a few tricks, including “Jump up”, “Touch Where I Point”, and “High Five”. He also does piggyback rides and car trips, goes camping, enjoys longs walks on his leash in the park or petstore where he likes to make friends with all of the dogs.

I almost don’t believe you. How did you arrive at the name?
Dogs seem to do tricks out of blind obedience, but cats really enjoy the challenge and the “showing-off”.
Find something he likes, such as a feather-stick, and use it as a “trigger”. When he does what you want, use a dog training clicker and give a treat. Eventually eliminate the stick and use a finger as the trigger, then slowly cut back on and eliminate the treat. Look up “clicker training for cats”
